In the theory of creation, as I mentioned, materials of creativity describes as following:

03- Energy
04- Material
05- Life

09- Intelligence
10- Opportunity
They are Claviers of your piano. Play them to make your own music of life.

Creation, an introduction to "The Emperor"

There was just pure knowledge and nothing else. “Time” was not beginning yet. There was no change and it was a permanent stability. Because of a need for movement and change, pure knowledge accepted to come down to a lower level. A small piece of knowledge interchanged to a dirty shape to experience this movement. Energy came out of heart of knowledge and movement has been experienced. Pure knowledge became dirty to make a shining. “Rikan”s have been born. Small packages of knowledge interchanged to a new understanding. Energy came true and it was the first sin.
In that early experience of change and movement there was a childish dream.
Dirt comes after dirt. Energy was in temptation for flirting and shining and just a lower level could provide this. Let’s go for a bit dirtier and a little cheaper. Just a very small piece of energy changed into that lower level to make that opportunity. Moving energy felt the dirt to make the “Material”. The dirtiest shapes of “Rikan”s were small sparks of energy which interchanged to a new phenomenon. Shapeless and misty “Quark”s appeared and began playing with each other to create the concept of “Material”. The cheapest shape of energy was born to make the shining opportunity for moving energy. It was the second sin.
Time began without the clock hands. Layers of energy and material put into each other to produce the flirting shine. Mad masses of energy attacked to primitive shapes of material and the new world became complex and more complex. Unlimited storms of transparent energy were changing the rough materials to new things. There were happy and nervous movements in this developing opportunity of painful repeating interchange between energy and material. There was no U-turn in the path of sin. At the end of the fall, in the cheapest shape of material, the pure knowledge was gathering the whole energy to the centre of dirt. It was another temptation.
With a kick to this primitive and rough toy, it may clarify the path of movement and development. Let’s make just another guilt to create a permanent path of change. Let’s create a thinking cycle of permanent moving energy and material. Then temptation gathered the whole existing material and energy in a zero point. Pure knowledge released the key and the biggest possible explosion of energy in the hugest mass of material made the first scream. It was the third sin. The era of systems began.
Dirty world of material got a system through the music of energy. Single Quarks related each other by their internal energy. They shaped Positrons and Notrinos to make the internal rules of materials. These rules made more powerful layers to develop the large scale relations. Protons, Notrons and Electrons was born. Gravity came true and huge masses of material began their wonderful eternal dance. Weight came out of mass. Huge pieces of material forced each other in the flexible layers of energy. Atoms and Molecules, rocks and gases, obey these rules to make the nature.
Atmosphere of systems was atmosphere of sin, endless and stable. Sin in its sinful stability was dancing. There was another temptation with pure knowledge. The last sin, just another sin. Energy attacked to the most complex shapes of material. System moved to a new level. Just the last sin, and life began. It was an insurance to the permanent moving sin. From the simplest level, sin changed to its most complex and deepest forms. It was the forth sin.
Existence, try, competition, hunting, war, win and death are all new shapes of this last sin. No living nature changed into a dirtier shape and living nature breathed to be the powerful responsible of guilt. Living nature experienced the satisfaction and this satisfaction insured the life to the possible end. Life satisfaction grew to learning satisfaction and creating satisfaction and make the sin deeper and deeper. Intelligent existence pushed the nature to the dirtiest fall. Their small share of knowledge caused their wrong affects on the surround world. Each change and each decision of the intelligent existence was new dirt on the former sinful layers. There will be a day in which no more dirt would be possible.
One day changes will come. Knowledge will return to its pure shape. The path of sin will reach the end. Life to system, system to material, material to energy and energy to pure knowledge will come back. Then time, life and sin reach the end. Pure knowledge will rest stable, calm and clean at that incredible highest.

"Free" Designer

A “free” designer is far from an irresponsible designer. In reverse you may find the maximum responsibility in “free” designers because they are free of irresponsible forces. Sometimes, designer may be asked for a wrong brief. Sometimes the requested design may be harmful or may provide bad results for users. “Free” designers reject such projects.
A “free” designer never accepts designing weapons and cigarette packaging. Such a designer has an additional attention on design for special groups such as kids and disables. “Free” designer is free of money. He/She doesn’t work on anything just because of money.

Design

If; creativity is seeing things, never have been seen, and if; Innovation is sending new ideas to the market, then: Design is creativity for innovation.

Atmosphere of problem

Design, before creativity is understanding. Understanding comes not just from research. It is being in the atmosphere of problem.

Answer

Influence on the problem clears the best answer. It means when your information is complete then you have the wow solution.
Complete information is equal to understanding the most limited boundaries. In this situation, designer knows all the wrong ways. Referencing in free design has two main duties:
1- Showing the wrong ways to find wow solutions.
2- Shaping wow solutions to make a very new answer.
Knowing the wrong ways more than being a limit, is an opportunity to preventing time waste in design process.

Referencing

Referencing in “free” design has two main parts.
- External referencing, consists of Mathematics, History and Nature.
- Personal referencing, consists of designer’s personal challenges and philosophy.
External referencing makes the product familiar and acceptable for customers. It brings originality to the product.
Personal referencing brings the product a unique existence close to the spirit of designer.
There is here a question; “How you may name it free design with such a strong background of referencing?”

Behave

In “free” design, products have and make behaves.
This behave comes from no straight being of “free” products.
A “free” product dictate least things to the user, in this way there is an opportunity for user to make a personal behave when using the product. This personal behave is a unique translation of product’s design philosophy. This helps people to create an important part of products identity: it’s behave.

Free Design

Now, my biggest challenge is “freedom”. You may find this in most of my designs. Of course there are other references used in my designs but everything is under the fluent of freedom.

A “free” product – as there is in my mind - is something simple and clear but not straight. A “free” product is something happy and sometimes funny. You may use a “free” product easily and you may find it playing with your mind. A “free” product always moves around the real need and when trying to cover it up, provides you a new experience in living. Sometimes you may find a childish concept and a living spirit in the “free” design.

If you don’t find yourself in your designs, if there is no chance to find you it what you do, you are wasting your time.

Challenges

Our philosophy comes from our challenges. Our challenges are the way we look at the world.
If you have a point of view for looking at the world, it means you have a philosophy in your living. Unique philosophy makes unique designs because it provides a very new point of view to look at people, needs, products and services.

Philosophy makes references for designs.

Risky Decision

When you design far from these references, you are making a risky decision. This risk has two different sides:
- In one side you may loose the opportunity of making an acceptable design. People may find your design something unfamiliar. Then nobody will pay for it. Your design will be forgotten soon.
- In the other hand you may make something so much unfamiliar. Such differences may wonder people. If your audiences wonder about your concept then they look for their needs and requests. If there would be a good answer, they will pay and it makes you a success.
Good designers pay a deep attention to references. Great designers are as brave to have both sides. When they distinguish a chance in making a wonder, they may not miss the opportunity.

References

Referenced designs live longer. People accept referenced designs much more. They have better feeling about them. All our design references have common part with human being.
- Human being is designed through mathematics. You may find golden section proportions all over your body.
- Human being is a part of nature. Every aspects of nature are close together and make integrity.
- Human being made the history based on his needs and requests. Objects which remained through thousand years in the history are the best answers for human requests.

Reference

Making an identity for a product is designing the product based on a reference.
Designing a corporate identity is making united philosophy for a range of products.
No reference designs makes products rarely acceptable. We know three main references for design:
1- Mathematics
2- History
3- Nature

Design without Research

When I saw my colleagues in the design centre don’t like research activities and escape them in the projects, I started a design research centre beside the main centre. The strange fact happened again. They showed the minimum interest in using research results in their projects. I think some designers limit their minds in appearance and face of products. These designers change the face of world without making it better. Of course change is a good way of making things better but there is a great difference between change based on information and change without it.

Research and Design

Design change things and research makes them clear to understand.
In problem solving, if the problem is completely clear, it means you have all answers and when you have no answers it means you don’t understand the problem.
Designing without research is like solving a problem without understanding it clearly. Many of designers used to begin their sketch and drawings right after they receive the brief and it’s the reason we designers failed to make the world better than past.

Fail

I think designers (philosophers) failed to make the world safer, cleaner, easier, more beautiful and better than past. I think they just changed the world to a different thing. Now this world because of machines, computers, new materials, pollutions and wars is a dangerous, dirty, complex, ugly and worse place for human kind and all living phenomena. But we prefer to live in today instead of 17th century, just because of huge amount of wonder we experience in the current time.

Design and Philosophy

Philosophy is imagination of the future. In this way philosophy has the same role as design. Designers are a specific branch of philosophers.

Philosophy

Who can think and live without philosophy? A designer without philosophy is a repeater for everything have been said before.
It is a long time I've begun to read general philosophy as a first stage student. Philosophy is a light which creates the target and clarifies the way.

Wrong ways

Sometimes mistakes seem just mistakes. Sometimes there are opportunities behind wrong ways. Creative people don’t judge mistakes so fast. When you give opportunity to the wrong ways, then you have made a possibility to find creative solutions right there.

Mistakes

Being creative makes mistakes. Innovative people are consciously ready for mistakes. Mistakes are not crimes. Easily they are wrong ways.

Need for wondering

People are not the same as yesterday. Each morning, the society begins a new era.
We used to wondering. In news TV channels, in scientific papers, in art and fashion, in the street and even in our kitchens we used to be wondered. Wondering is our satisfaction. Wondering is a need.
We experience an era in which, tomorrow is today. We experience the future at the time being.
Any design and creation without wondering will loose. Any Idea and innovation without a spirit of tomorrow inside, will fail. Designers should live in tomorrow. It is the request of society.

Toolbox

Theory of change is the great toolbox to overcome the syndrome of good idea. When you change good ideas, the opportunity to achieve the great ideas comes true.
Let’s just change. Let’s change even good things and even things seem to be great things. There may be a wow solution right there.

Syndrome of good idea

Most of the time, good ideas stop people to look for great ideas. In this way we can name a good idea a syndrome because it stops us to achieve the best.

Implementing the theory of change

Theory of change can be implementing on all systems, a product design project or a society.
In a product when you change different aspects of design one bye one, you improve the whole design in some steps. The result could be a wow solution. In a society when you make changes in different aspects, the social wow solution comes true. That’s democracy.
When you stop changing, improvement stops. When you stop improvement, democracy stops and wow solutions disappear. Then let’s change. Let’s afraid of stop changing.

Theory of change

Free systems provide better conditions for changes. In this way they have bigger opportunitiess for improvement. In reverse, changes, even small changes makes systems better and better. This makes them free and more free. Let's name this theory of change.

Improvement comes from change

To affect a system you should change it. Changes may bring improvements and may make faults. In this way there is a risk in changes but it's clear without changes, improvement is impossible.

People in Neyshabour

Remember Neyshabour? People in Neyshabour are living in a glass box. They have clear ideas about who they are and what they want. They always ask that hard questions and always looking for the correct answers. They are highly creative and significantly innovative. They have certain needs and clear briefs and of course many of wow solutions. In this way they are very effective people. There are many foot steps belong to these people in the history. They change and make changes. They make the future.

Briefs

Ideas come to over come needs. If you distinguish a need then you have a problem. When you analyze a problem and clarify it, from different sides to achieve a clear problem, then you have a brief. Ideas are proposals belong to the brief. A clear brief provides a direct path to the best answers. When you can not make great ideas go directly to the problem and interchange it to a clear brief. Sometimes it needs investigation and research. Without correct and accurate information about the problem, you may not make wow solutions.

Innovation

If creativity is making new ideas, then innovation is sending new ideas to the market. Everybody are creative but rare innovative. During innovation you distribute your idea in a market, means among people. It affects life style, behaves and habits. This makes your idea, effective. Effective people have effective ideas. History is the result of effectiveness of such people.

Hard questions

There are questions about your being. You used to escape asking them yourself. The answer of such no answer questions clarifies you against yourself. This is horrible because most of us are not ready to find out how we are far from the best we could be.
Let’s be brave to ask them. It provides us the chance to go further to find out that best. The job many of us never experience in our whole life.

Live in a black box

In the most of my creativity courses, when I ask audiences to define their selves in some sentences, there are no answers. Most of people have not ever thought who really they are. Then they have no idea about what they want. Their values and boundaries are not clear. They have the least planning for their lives. In a short description, they live in a black box.

Great my self

Creativity occurs when people put something from their own mind to make an answer for a temporary problem. If designer don’t know him/her self, then he/she has nothing to make the great answer. Designs will be copies and non original issues.
Great designers are who knowing their selves in the way they can distinguish their unique assemblies. They can use this unique and very different “my self” to make new ideas. This unique and very new “my self” makes very different ideas we name them “WoW Solution”s. When other designers use this “WoW Solution”s in their designs, then the original design goes to be a classic one.
The value of a classic design comes directly out of a designer’s “my self”. Great designers are who are finding this “my self” instead of rich customers.

Temporary and classic...

Let’s put our challenges into our designs and ideas. Let’s use the opportunity of design to make answers for our real requests. You know, people may find their real requests in their challenges.
A design without a mind challenge is an empty pot. When people fulfill their pots, then design goes to find an eternal value. This is the real difference between a temporary design and a classic one.

Techniques

Creativity techniques provide new experiences to push people to make new ideas.
New experiences open new windows to the current world. Looking to the current world through a new window makes it new and fun.
Sometimes this new view is not expected or satisfying. this comes from the risky nature of creativity. Then creative people say:
"Oh shit, another mistake...!"
and looking for other windows (not from microsoft).

Lets experience changes without any judgement.

Judgement

Creativity is so far from judgement.
When we used to judge people, ourselves, events, behaves, past and future, then there is no opportunity to create relations, products, reactions and changes.

When people have mind or social limitations for right and wrong, and for good and bad, this limits the opportunities of change and creativity.

Ability of change

There is an opportunity for creativity in everything surrounds us.
This opportunity comes from the change ability in all aspects of phenomena.
When you can change things, it means things can be better.
Sometimes just being different is a growing up by itself.

Innovation

Creativity comes from dreams. Creative people have great dreams. Innovative people feel responsibility about their dreams. They try to make them true. Allways, creative ideas look funny or crazy. Everybody laugh at these jockes and dreams. After a funny moment, innovative people say theirselves:
"OK, now lets try for it."

Recently I wrote to a friend:
Change! then freedom will come.
It brought me a clearance.
Societies change to achieve freedom.
Free societies change to keep their freedom.
When you loose your movement, you begin to loose your freedom.

Strange choose

The big problem occures when people choose not to be creative.
Yes, that's possible...
When people do not bear different ideas...
When people can not change their habits and believes...
When people have fix criterias for good and bad...
When people say lies...
And
When people are waiting for someone else to come and make things right...
These people have chosen not to be creative.

Just a little mistake

Lets make mistakes freely.
Sometimes, there are great opportunities behind mistakes.
Creativity is the behave of brave people who do not afraid of making mistakes.

Big names are not belonging to good or bad men. Big names are belonging to effective people. No matter if they are politicians or busyness men, they have big minds and great strategies. No matter if we love or hate them. They are great opportunities for human kind.

Human based limitations says: "each opinion or believe can be so far from truth."

How you may trust your mind about things?

Creativity is being different

Creativity is about having a new view port to the existing world.
Creative people are different people because the look at the world from a different angle.
